Due to a bit of procrastination on my part, I ended up sending my niece her Christmas present yesterday! Since it is a bit past the holiday, I decided to wrap her gift in some homemade winter snowflake wrapping paper.

Easy winter wrapping paper solution! • AtopSerenityHill.comI started with a piece of brown Kraft paper, some FolkArt acrylic paints in shades of turquoise and a large flat brush. Randomly picking up paint as I went, I slip-slapped the colors onto the Kraft paper, leaving some of the brown showing through.
Handmade snowflake wrapping paper with baker's twine • AtopSerenityHillOnce it was dry, I used a white paint pen to draw snowflakes, swirls and dots all over the background color. I also completely forgot to take pictures of that part…sorry!

With a bit of baker’s twine and some silver curling ribbon, my gift was just perfect!

Do you have a birthday or celebration to wrap a gift for this season? This DIY winter wrapping paper would be an easy solution! And, because it is handmade, it will make the gift that much more special.
