Adjusting to changes 150 150 Consie Sindet

I started a new job last week that has me waking up super early and working 10 hour days…nothing I didn’t know when I accepted the position. What I didn’t anticipate and plan for very well was the toll it would take on the blog and my ability to post, or make projects, or take photos, or just be coherent enough to string a couple of sentences together!!bodypaintedfallleaves

I truly love blogging and never want to put out a post just to do so. So if you don’t see anything posted for a few days, don’t worry. I am probably sleeping!! Lol! My goal is to continue with a couple posts a week and build up some content so I won’t feel so behind again. I also had to make the decision a couple weeks ago to put off finishing my schooling. In hindsight, it was a good decision as something would have had to give. Right now, I am doing the best things for my family and for me. I might be tired but I am having fun!

So thanks for visiting and please stay tuned for some fun projects! Welcome to the fall season!! PS…the above picture is a body paint I did many years ago on a wonderful friend!! She loves the fall and generously let me practice on her back when I was first starting out. We don’t see each other often but she is always in my heart!

I link up at these great parties!

Hi, Consie – I took a break of sorts in August. I pretty much just posted a photo a day. The goal was to get a week’s worth of blog posts in the queue before the beginning of September. I think I got four instead of seven, but it was still a helpful exercise. Of course, now I’m about a day ahead, but oh well. Still better than writing the next day’s post at 11pm!

Stopping by from Let’s Get Social Sunday.

Nice to hear that others feel the same! Still haven’t gotten ahead but will keep working on it! I love the idea of just posting pictures. They can speak louder than our words sometimes. Of course, that means I have to actually TAKE the pictures!!! 🙂 Have a great week.

Congrats on your new job. I hear you, I would have a VERY hard time getting up early and getting used to 10 hours days. I’ve been working 8 hour days for decades now and that can even be a long day sometimes.

I love the body art – is that tattoos, paint, or digital images? Very pretty with the fall leaves.

Thanks, Adrian! The leaves are all handpainted. My friend would love a tattoo just like that but that would be an expensive bit of work! Happy weekend!

Hi, stopping over from the Super Sunday link party. Congrats on the new job! I also work 10 hour days so I can totally relate. The only way I have found to get by is to accept that some things just don’t get done! My kins and family are my highest priority so that is not optional, but there are plenty of other things that are further down on the list that sometimes take me a while to get done (if ever!). Just remember to pay attention to how you are feeling and if you starting to get overwhelmed or frustrated, give yourself permission to take a break for a couple of days! I am sure you will rock the new job! 🙂

Thanks for the kind words, Kristin. I’m finding that some things in my life just don’t need to happen right now. I am learning to embrace the word “no”!

I know the feeling. I am quite sure that there are few bloggers who have not.
