After tackling the Minecraft cake that I showed you earlier in the week, I definitely wanted to make a matching card and gift bag to go with the theme!
Since the concept behind Minecraft is squares, it made for an easy project.
I gathered together different shades of green and brown cardstock and cut it into squares. I wasn’t very exact with this as you can see but surprisingly, it didn’t bother me! I can be a bit OCD sometimes. I made small squares for the card and envelope, and larger ones for the bag.
I added a strip of white cardstock with a hand-written message and everything was stuck down with double-sided tape. Done!
I always try to match my cards and gift packaging with the theme of kid’s parties. It’s a fun way to acknowledge something special about the child, since they usually pick a theme that they enjoy!
Making unique greeting cards is one of my favorite craft activities. Make sure to check out my other tutorials…
