It all started with a Spark of Art-spiration and a feather…
The newest challenge for the Documented Life Project that I’m participating in was to add a feather to our planner. I’ve been finding feathers on my dog walks for the past month, so that part was easy! The rest of the page became the telling of my creative journey story over the past year…all the blogs I’ve read, techniques I’ve learned, classes I’ve taken…
I loved the last Spark of Art-spiration that Carolyn Dube sent in her newsletter and was determined to use it somehow. It became the base to my journal page along with some old book paper that I stamped with my new eraser stamps! PS…I’ve used Carolyn’s sparks in the past here and here.
All the half circles came from a sheet of circle labels I made with techniques learned this year while being a part of the documented life Facebook page. Inktense pencils
are one of my favorite ways to add color!
Part of my journey this year has been the discovery of so many cool products. This Liquitex ink
is lovely! I used the bronze to add some color to my found feather and the shimmer adds a great touch to the page.
Adding extra journaling marks in the background with a white Signo gel pen
gave the page the illusion of a crazy ‘dear diary’ moment when I just can’t get my thoughts out fast enough!
A piece of a business card from a blogger that inspires me daily, a few doodle marks and this chapter in my story is done. I can’t wait to see what the next chapter will bring this year!
I link up at these great parties!
