If you have a small present to give, why not make it extra special by using one of your art journal pages as the gift wrap?
Now I’m not suggesting you use the actual pages! Although you certainly could if you wanted.
The page I decided to use is Washi taped into my Documented Life Project journal from 2014 and is only 4″x8″. It is also super dimensional with lots of layers glued down on the watercolor paper.
What I did instead of using the actual page was make an enlarged color color of my work (about 200%) on regular 8.5″x11″ copy paper. It was the perfect size for my present…a set of water brushes
for an eight year old budding artist.
After choosing which copy I liked best, I trimmed off the white edges, wrapped my gift and adding a bunch of colorful curling ribbon. This is such an easy way to make one-of-a-kind gift wrap and to add that extra touch to your gift giving!
