I recently shared how I have fallen in love with the Documented Life Project and what it has brought to my life…a successful way to create a to do list! Today, I thought you might like to see what I have been up to with the weekly challenges that are a part of the project.

After I laid down a watercolor background, my BFF, Kristine added the sunflower and spider in the corner and my husband, Lee added the old man sun. I finished it off with a quick Tuscan doodle.

For this one I decided to use blues to represent my dual citizenship with the US and Barbados. I started with decorator paste and added the stars with a stencil. The waves were made with a palette knife. Turquoise and navy shades of acrylic paint added the color with a little Sharpie doodling to outline the words.

The background was done with acrylic paints and an old driver’s license…just scraped the color all over the page! The farm scenes are my box addition…they are from a K-cup box. Since I was on the coffee theme, I also used the tops from a couple K-cups to form the center of the flowers.

I don’t get to wear these shoes often…I am more of a flip-flop, sandal, sneaker kind of girl! But I love them! They have green roses and skulls all over them and were a gift from my favorite guy. I was bored one night and painted the design on my leg to match the shoes!

I look at it multiple times a day and that has helped with keeping my to-do list front and center! I’ll share more of my pages as the year progresses, so stay tuned!

This looks like such a fun project. I think I would benefit from having a to-do list/journal like this. I like to doodle and while my art skills are at the amateur level, I think it would be a great learning experience for me. I like what you’ve done with yours, how you’ve worked with the colors… And I love the shoes! I don’t get to wear shoes like those often either but it’s fun when I can.
