My 3 must-have art journaling supplies

My 3 must-have art journaling supplies 650 500 Consie Sindet

Since I started art journaling this year, I’ve discovered three supplies that I love and can’t seem to live without! PS…these are in addition to my on the go doodling kit.

One of my must-have art journaling supplies...the Xyron sticker maker! • AtopSerenityHill.com1) The Xyron sticker maker. I have the smallest one, so the widest item I can make into a sticker is 1.5″ wide. I’ve used this to make Washi tape and to add all sorts of small pieces of paper into my planner. It is way easier than using a glue stick on little stuff that might be hard to handle. Someday, maybe I can get this one!

One of my must-have art journaling supplies...a White Signo gel pen! • AtopSerenityHill.com One of my must-have art journaling supplies...a White Signo gel pen! • AtopSerenityHill.com2) The Uni-Ball Signo white gel pen. I had read so much about this pen before I bought it that I wasn’t sure if it would live up to all the hype about how fabulous it was. Well, it did! I’ve use the pen on all different (dried) painted surfaces and it is amazing to use. My only problem is that every once in a while I smear the design because I have no patience to let the ink dry!

One of my must-have art journaling supplies...Inktense pencils! • AtopSerenityHill.com One of my must-have art journaling supplies...Inktense pencils! • AtopSerenityHill.com3) Inktense pencils. I use these pencils on EVERYTHING! Can you tell from the picture which color is my fav? They work like watercolor pencils but they are ink based and dry permanently. The colors are very vibrant and so pretty. I only have the 12 piece set but there are a ton of colors that you can buy individually as well. I’m sure I’ll add one or two more to my collection.

What is your favorite art journaling supply? Let me know below…

I link up at these great parties!

I love looking at art work and very time I come across your blog it makes me wish I could draw more than stick people. It’s gorgeous & I love it!

Love your Xyron sticker tip – I am always sticking book quotes to things with either glue stick or matte medium and the sticker machine would be much less messy and quicker to boot! I have a big one but rarely use it –

Thanks, Michelle. I love this machine!! I wish I had a bigger one but oh well! Are you printing your book quotes out or actually cutting them out of books?

I have several old books/novels that I cut funny lines out of – helps me be creative when I’m not feeling the urge to draw/paint. There is a “Friends of the Library” sale this weekend where I will stock up on some new ones. . .
