Since January 1st, I have been creating a mini doodle a day in my planner and posting the pictures twice a week on Instagram. I decided that I wanted to try a yearly project for 2016 and also prompt myself to open my planner and use it!
The planner I’m using for the daily doodling is the Get To Work Book® and all of the weekly pages have a gridded section at the bottom that I divided up for each day using markers or thin pieces of sticker paper that I decorated. Some days I even added art on the rest of the page!
Some days the doodle represents something from my day. Other times I just add random patterns.
Most of the time, I have used a black gel pen to create the designs. But once in a while, if I am at my art table, a bit of color will sneak in.
There are also days I miss but I get myself back on track as soon as I can. I want to make sure there are doodles on each day as it is so much fun to look back at what I have done so far.
So far I’m two months into my daily doodling and still enjoying the process! I’ll keep you updated as the year progresses.
