Here is another quick and easy centerpiece for the fall season! With a few changes, you can use it for both Halloween and Thanksgiving.
Using my DIY cake plate, a paper doily, some flowers from the garden, a dollar store candle holder, battery operated tea lights and two paper lanterns, I created a simple arrangement for a sideboard or your kitchen counter!
The paper lanterns came in a package of two and were only $1 at Michaels. They started off white, so I added some orange and yellow watercolor to them to create more of a pumpkin feeling.
I then used black markers to doodle all over them. The paper is delicate, so a light touch works best.
After arranging all the elements, I turned on the battery operated tea lights to make it all glow!!
The arrangement would also work with some real mini pumpkins, perhaps a few pinecones, or even some loose Indian corn! Just start with the pumpkin paper lanterns and let your imagination go wild!! Happy Fall!
