At the January monthly meeting of the women’s business group I belong to, BW Nice, it was announced that I would get the opportunity to once again create a body paint for our fundraising event, The Red Shoe. The Red Shoe is a fashion show luncheon that raises funds for SAFE In Hunterdon, a local women’s shelter. The event will be in June, 2013 but I thought I would share with you what I painted for last year’s event!
These two fantastic gentlemen agreed to have tuxedo jackets painted on them. They would then, along with two more traditionally tuxedo-clad gentlemen, sell the raffle tickets during the luncheon. To say that they were a hit, is an understatement!!
Our group president told me later that they had sold more raffle tickets than she had even hoped for. So, the guys will join us again this year to see if they can outsell what they previously did! I am working on adding an unexpected element to the design this year, so stayed tuned!
What creative ideas have you seen at fundraisers you have attended?
